MotorSled 2K2 World Whide Tour
______________________________

What is MotorSled ?
-------------------

Take a good old snowmobile, and then race around the world with it. That's simple, that's fun. That's not the kind of game with heavy phisics and hours of fine tuning, but it has just the right phisics to have fun and challenge rinding in.

Getting Started
---------------

No setup is required, but if you have a slow frame rate, or if you want to tweak it anyway, the SETUP.INI contains everything you can customize. Just change the value of the variables.

Example : if you want to run it on a 1280x1024 / 32-bit display, just edit the DISPLAY command to DISPLAY 1280 1024 32

To accelerate the refresh rate, you can optionnaly switch the SPECULAR / PARTICLES / SHADOWS / FILTERING to OFF

The music will be turned off if the volume is 0, otherwise it will be on.

You should not change the CAMERARANGE variable, otherwise you'll see a HOM effect. :)

The default MIPMAP mode is 2, since it is prettier, but if it runs slow, or your card doen't support it, you could switch it to 1.
NOTICE : mipmap mode 0 (no mipmap), will terribly slow down the game, but will use less memory.

Key Config
----------

The keys you'll use are pretty simple. Arrow keys to move, C to switch between 4 different cameras, and ENTER to select in the menu. At anytime, pressing ESCAPE will quit the game. The game does not support JoyStick yet.

Trouble Shooting
----------------

We have tested the game on very few machines, so maybe you'll see some bugs. If any, please email them to ultra_buz2000@hotmail.com

The bugs we've found : in game, sometimes the screen flashes, the countdown start (3,2,1,go), and then the game quit, generating an error. We don't know why it does that, it seems at random. Just restart the game.

Who and why
-----------

This game have been made by 2 young guys from Quebec, Canada, David Baril and Beausoleil S Guillemette. We made it to enter the DarkBASIC Ski contest. I (Beausoleil) programmed it entirely in DarkBASIC language, and it tooks us less then three weeks.
